  • What does it mean to be part of the talent alliance?
    The Soft Stars Talent Alliance is a coalition of the best senior tech talent in the region, dedicated to helping engineers find fulfilling tech jobs. Our goal is to provide amazing experiences throughout their careers working at the best companies and getting paid top market rates comparable to EU salaries. Being part of the Talent Alliance means having access to a wide range of matching tech jobs in our network. Tell us about the technical stack, the kind of project, team, and company you would like to be involved in, and the kind of financial compensation you expect as a senior tech talent, and we will match you with our best fitting positions. We pursue the tech jobs that you choose to pursue until the stars perfectly align.
  • What kind of tech talent does Soft Stars specialize in connecting with companies?
    Soft Stars specializes in connecting senior engineers with companies that value their skills, experience, and potential for growth. This includes software developers, data scientists, network engineers, cybersecurity experts, and other top tech talent.
  • How do I apply? What happens after I apply?
    You can apply to join the Soft Stars alliance by contacting us and submitting your resume. If you resume passes our high selection bar, then we will reach back to you to discuss your application further. You will formally integrate the alliance after passing screening and technical vetting interviews. If you believe you’ve got what it takes to be part of the talent alliance, we’d like to hear from you.
  • What if it doesn’t work with the first company I interview with?
    We’ve seen it happen before. We do our best to find the best matches and the perfect position for you. If it doesn’t work out with a company, we collectively learn from the experience and from what worked and didn't work, and aim to find a better match in the next round.
  • What is the success rate for engineers that join the alliance?
    We function at a human scale, and continuously vet our candidates as well as our client companies. Once a match has been identified, we pride ourself at having an 80% success rate given our high selection bar. However, we are not a mass market company and privilege quality over quantity, so we expect that we will have the perfect opportunity on your radar between immediately to 6 months after joining the alliance.
  • Why do you pay more than market rates?
    We pay top market rates in the region for our engineers because they are the ones that make a difference. We also operate a very lean and mean operations that can sustain the lowest margins in the market, insuring that we are able to pass down more the bast majority of the engineer's revenue into his salary. We don't invest in lavish offices, HR managers, expensive sales personnel, and rather choose to invest exclusively in our self managed seniors who are our best salesmen and recruiters through the referral program. Our mission is to bring European level salaries to remote senior engineers in Africa and Latin America.
  • Who are your clients?
    Our clients are great software companies, that have esablished technical teams, and would like to boost their team and talent base by adding great engineers from our network. We carefully vet each client and insure that we have a great relationship with them, and that they will provide the expected technical experience, and the right environment and team for our engineers to thrive. We do not take short term opportunity, nor do we consider delivery engagement. We only extend great team and make them even greater.
  • How do I refer profiles into the alliance?
    If you are not part of the alliance, simply sending us a recommended profile's CV will earn you 1000 USD on the day they get matched to an opportunity. If you are part of the alliance partners, then you can qualify for a program that allows you to earn monthly income for every successful referral you bring to the team, creating a new recurrent income for you. We strongly value referrals and over 50% of our team have been sources through referrals.
